How To Outline Your Videos for Better Results

‘Tiff, What do I even say in a Video?’ I get this question a lot. I know when you’re thinking about even getting in front of a camera a lot of fear comes up…

But having a plan of what to say is essential to dealing with the discomfort of being on camera (until some practice makes it easier).

That’s what I’m talking about in my video this week. How I plan out what I’ll say in my videos. Because I have a very specific structure to my videos (and live streams).

I don’t script things word for word, because trying to recite from a script makes me sound like Captain Kirk from Star Trek (with all the frequent pauses).

Pausing to remember what to say next doesn’t build authority – in fact, it destroys any you might be building.

The other reason to have a structured outline is that you don’t jump around between points and lose people in the process.

That whole ‘Oh yeah – I meant to say earlier’ can end up having people lose interest and switch out early.

Plus, it doesn’t help people learn to trust you and that you know what you’re talking about.

As we’re being forced to move online at the moment, I thought this video would be really useful.

Video is still the best way to build relationships online that lead to sales if you can’t be face to face with someone.

It’s so essential at the moment for business, ignoring it could be detrimental to your growth.

Now let me know below, are you using video yet in your business, yet? If you are using video, do you have a structure or do they tend to jump around a little?

Send me a DM over on Instagram and let’s see if I can help!
