Is your creativity at war with your business?
When I started my business, I was creative, I was free, but I was also broke.
Even worse, things didn’t get done on time (or at all). I soon realized that I needed a different approach.
So I started to experiment with systems.
Don’t roll your eyes! If you’re a creative person like me the word systems might make you feel like there’s a pit in your stomach.
But, what I eventually learned was that having systems to get the right things done at the right time actually gave me more freedom and more creativity.
This isn’t a one size fits all thing, either. I actually help my clients to work out a system or routine ways of working that work for them.
Their personality, their lifestyle.
If you’ve got 7 kids, chances are you won’t be wanting to spend as much time on content as someone who’s single.
If you hate being on camera, chances are you won’t shine by going live to attract potential clients.
Just so I’m clear, I’m not talking about computer software. I’m talking about systems like: ‘The first week of every month, I create content’ or ‘Every Friday at 2pm I review my progress’
These are the systems that help me to get the right things done at the right time and keep my business moving forward.
They also help me set aside time for creativity and I don’t have to stress about the invoices not being created or other things.
Now, tell me about you. Do you struggle to get the right things done at the right time?
Do you feel creative, free but also lacking the income you’d like to have?
Send me a DM over on Instagram and let’s see if I can help!
