Is the Fear of Hearing ‘No’ Stopping You From Attracting Clients?

The scariest words to say can be ‘To work with me it will be $3,000 or $1,500 or even $497’. I remember that fear. That people were going to say ‘No’ or the more likely ‘I have to talk to my partner or I have to check my bank account’

People aren’t great at just saying ‘No’.

And we’re certainly not good at hearing it.

That feeling of not being good enough used to hit me as soon as I heard that horrible two-letter word.

I could see my value, why couldn’t others?

Then, the feeling that followed of being further away from my dreams.

That dream life where I got to quit my part-time job. Where I could go full-time in my business.

Where I could tell people: ‘I’m a successful business owner’

Every ‘No’ was like a knife through the heart.

Funnily enough, most of the time the ‘No’ that I heard was in my head.

I was too scared to actually have sales conversations with people!

Too frickin’ scared!!

That fear of hearing the ‘No’ just held me back for too long.

When you can’t have those conversations and get over that fear, it’s pretty hard to increase your clients.

And that’s what I was going through.

I definitely wasn’t getting closer to my dream of quitting my job, going full-time and having the success that I wanted.

I busied myself with content creation and other tasks.

But without the big things like having a conversation and making an offer… things were stagnant.

When I finally learned to deal with that fear and change my perception, though.

That’s when everything changed. My business started to grow and grow so fast that I was struggling to keep up.

Learning how to handle ‘No’ and not be afraid of it is essential to having a profitable client-based business.
