How I started with Video (My humble beginnings as an Introvert)

One of the scariest things I had to do in my business was learn to get on Camera. I remember the first time I ever did a Facebook Live… I had to announce it the day before (to make sure I wouldn’t wimp out again). Then I couldn’t even sleep…

I think in all I got 3 hours sleep…

Let me tell you going live on 3 hours sleep – not for the faint of heart…

But I announced it so I had to do it…

This is where I’d love to say that despite all my stress, I handled it like a pro and that’s where it ends…

But that wasn’t the case.

I mangled my words…

I waffled… repeated myself far too many times…

But people watched and they cheered me on…

And even though the result was far from Perfect… I continued to do it.

They actually got so much easier with a bit of time (and focusing on others rather than myself).

But, I’m so glad that I did it!

Actually, tackling my fear of video – it gave me so much more confidence in my business.

After that, I was able to attend networking events and stand up and speak in a room full of strangers.

Not only that, I was able to approach small groups and strike up conversations.

It allowed me to get on video calls with potential clients and build relationships that lead to sales.

Now I have a business earning thousands per month and it’s growing every day.

Next scary thing I have to tackle… growing my team!

Being able to work outside your comfort zone and be Imperfect… these are essential skills to growing your business.
