Well, today, I’m getting all kinds of vulnerable. I’m throwing the curtain back on my numbers and what I track in my business.
That’s right. You can take a look and judge the sh*t out of me… compare yourself to me… (although don’t but this is the scariest video I’ve ever put out there – except for my first FB live)
This all came about when I read the story of an Entrepreneur who took over a Gym (obviously not a recent story) in different geographical area than where she lived.
After the initial one month setup time… she was able to log in for 30 minutes a week to check in and see the health of her business – which was healthy and growing.
Then she bought more gyms and now she spends 5 hours a week checking on some spreadsheets and checking in with her management team.
Obviously, I don’t have a big team, certainly not anyone who manages anything for me. But, the idea of tracking metrics to see the health of my business was interesting.
So, I tried it out. It was something I had avoided for a long time because I didn’t want to see the big fat Zeros that would be in a lot of the columns… I’m lookin’ at you YouTube subscribers…
But, I forced myself to get over my hangups and try it anyway.
Interestingly, the law of attraction helped me out and the Zeros didn’t stay that way for long.
Then, I noticed I felt better about my business. I could see the growth. I could see that things were moving in the right direction.
That’s a whole new level of confidence, right there. Armed with that knowledge, when people ask, how’s your business going, I can hold my head high and reply ‘It’s going well. It’s growing which is what I want right now.’
In today’s video, I’m sharing my screen with the numbers and all about what metrics I’m tracking – both numbers and quality metrics – like how stressed was I this week?
Now, tell me about your experience below. Do you track metrics regularly in your business? If so, what? If not, why not?
